    ATTENTION

This app is effective when anger is below 5 on a scale of l to 10.

If a conflict suddenly turns ugly, if you feel overwhelmed, and connection with your partner is rapidly unraveling.

If a reptilian state of mind is driving you or your partner to fight, flee or freeze and the intensity of anger, on a scale of 1 to 10, is above  5, the anger is too intense to begin the exercises in this app.

Use the signal you and your partner previously agreed upon and say, “I need to leave the room for awhile.”

    Leave the room.

Accept your angry thoughts, feelings, and urges.

Allow time for your anger to dissipate.

    You are not your thought.

You still have a chance to create positive change in this fight.

You are not your angry thoughts, feelings and urges. They are the neurons in your brain firing off.

Allow time for your anger to dissipate.

Go back to your partner and start Step 2 of this app.

Enjoy a relationship where conflicts bring you closer and lead to a vital life well lived.
